SOLO EXHIBITION PROPOSAL
The Untitled Space

The Untitled Space invites artists to apply for a solo exhibition to take place at the gallery in Tribeca, New York in 2019. Throughout 2019, The Untitled Space gallery will be presenting a series of solo exhibitions focusing on artists with an exceptional body of work that has not been previously exhibited. This is a unique opportunity to gain invaluable exposure of your artwork, and work with internationally recognized gallery director, Indira Cesarine, who will be curating the exhibitions. Artists who submit may also be considered for future opportunities with The Untitled Space gallery such as international art fairs, group shows and gallery representation.
Artists should have an established exhibition track record, and the focus of the proposal should be on new, unexhibited work. All proposals must include an artist bio, artist statement, images for each submitted artwork as well as documentation on any proposed new works, a project statement, and links to previous exhibitions. Please read all submission guidelines carefully. Keep in mind that artists submitting a majority of new, previously unexhibited work will be prioritized. All ages, genders and mediums will be considered.
EXHIBITION DATES: 2019
Artists will be notified of official dates of exhibition and opening reception upon confirmation. The Untitled Space will coordinate with the artist for the best timing of their exhibition, which will run for a minimum of 2 weeks. The exhibition will be curated by gallery director Indira Cesarine, who will work directly with the artist to select final artwork for exhibition. The gallery will host an opening reception for the artist, as well as post the exhibition on Artsy as well as other sites to promote the artwork. Expenses including the installation, opening reception, exhibition marketing and staffing as well as of course the gallery venue will be provided by The Untitled Space. All details will be finalized directly with the artist to insure the best possible experience for the gallery and artist to have a successful exhibition.
ABOUT THE UNTITLED SPACE
The Untitled Space is an art gallery located in Tribeca, New York in a landmark building on Lispenard Street. Founded in 2014 by Indira Cesarine, the gallery features an ongoing curation of exhibits of emerging and established contemporary artists exploring conceptual framework and boundary pushing ideology through mediums of painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, video and performance art. The gallery is committing to exploring new ideas vis-à-vis traditional and new mediums and highlights a program of women in art as well as special events aligned with our creative vision.
ABOUT CURATOR INDIRA CESARINE
Indira Cesarine’s curatorial for The Untitled Space includes solo shows for artists including FAHREN FEINGOLD and REBECCA LEVEILLE, as well as exhibitions "(HOTEL) XX" at SPRING/BREAK Art Show 2018; ”SECRET GARDEN” presenting the female gaze on erotica; “SHE INSPIRES,” a group show of 60 artists exhibiting works honoring inspirational women; internationally-celebrated group shows “UPRISE/ANGRY WOMEN,” and “ONE YEAR OF RESISTANCE” responding to the political climate in America since the election of Trump, as well as numerous other critically-acclaimed exhibitions. She is additionally the founder and editor-in-chief of globally distributed art and culture publication “The Untitled Magazine.”
